HIKE DISTANCE: about 5 miles
GENERAL LOCATION: By the American River in East Sacramento
DESCRIPTION: We
will start from the Campus Garden Apartments on Howe Avenue. Walk
the American bike Trail for a short distance and cross over the Guy
bridge into the campus. Walk through the campus between academic
buildings and past dorm rooms. Walk to their stadium and sports complex
before returning past their gardens to our cars. Bring lunch and
water. We will find a place on campus for a picnic.
TRAVEL
TIME/DISTANCE: We will drive to the the Campus Garden Apartments on Howe Ave.
The distance is about 28 miles, and will take about 40 minutes.
The driver donation should be $6. Detailed driving
directions will be handed out to all drivers. Expect to return
home about 2:30.

SPECIAL NOTES:
FACILITIES AVAILABLE: Public restrooms are available on campus.
PREPARATION FOR HIKE: Since this is on sidewalks, hiking boots and hiking
sticks are not necessary.
RISKS: Crossing streets. Since
this an easy walk it is open to members of the hiking club and any of their
friends who are interested in the walk.
