Buffet Breakfast and Walk

This special event has been planned by your Board of Director’s.  We are a walking and hiking group, many of us do both, walking and hiking.  Let’s get together and enjoy a walk as one group! 

 

Location and Time:       Sports Bar, Orchard Creek     8:00 AM

Difficulty:    Easy Hike to follow.  Several up hills within Del Webb can be a good aerobic workout.

Elevation Gain:   Minimal

Hike Distance:    4-5 miles.

General Location:    Starts at Orchard Creek following Breakfast

Description:  

Breakfast requires a RESERVATION.   The breakfast will cost you $5 for the buffet – however, this requires that you make a reservation in advance by Tuesday, November 1st.  The Hiking Club is paying the additional cost over the $5.  Breakfast consists of scrambled eggs, potatoes, pancakes, sausage, bacon, and coffee.

Susan Mulloy, our Treasurer, is taking reservations and collecting the $5.  She will be at the annual meeting on Oct. 13th and you can pay for your breakfast at that time. You must reserve by Tuesday, November 1st.  The club guarantee’s the number of breakfasts to Meridians. So please, if you reserve, attend.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may send a check for $5 (cost of breakfast) made out to Lincoln Hills Hikers, c/o Susan Mulloy, 1143 Secret Lake Loop, Lincoln, CA 95648.

The Walk: We will begin the walk from Orchard Creek following breakfast.  This will be an easy hike of a distance of 4 – 5 miles.  Phil Huntingdale has asked Dan Cortinovis to plan the walk.

Special Notes:

Facilities: Water closets at trail head, and at the end.

Preparation for Hike:

1.      Bring a copy of your ID (driver's license), Health Card, and an emergency contact name and phone number with you when you hike.

2.      If you have any health issues, please consider your condition before hiking.
