ELEVATION:  a few ups and downs

HIKE DISTANCE: 2 miles

GENERAL  LOCATION:  7 miles away.  Taylor and Rock Springs Road in Penryn

DESCRIPTON: Grandparents!!! Bring your visiting family and grand kids   This hike/stroll  is a good opportunity to work off some of that Holiday Food and get some history at the same time.  The 1800’s Marble quarry is surrounded  by a 23 acre park  with trails that we will meander  over, with historical markers along the way.  The rocks are covered with moss this time of year. You are encouraged to bring your lunch and linger a little longer .  Your food can be left in the car.

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE:  15 minutes, 7 miles.

SPECIAL NOTES:  There are porta  potties at  the beginning of the hike.  Rain or muddy trails will cancel the hike.  Check the Web Site the day before and on the morning of the hike .

PREPERATION FOR  HIKE:
1)    If you have any Health issues, please consider your condition before hiking
2)    Bring copy of your ID (drivers license)  Health Card and an emergency  contact name and phone number with you on the hike .
3)    Always bring 1 pair of shoes along with your Hiking Boots or sneakers, along with a bag to store your dirty hiking shoes on the drive home. Pease be considerate of the driver’s car and wear your  clean shoes on the way home.
4)    Bring Lunch, Water and sunscreen  We will eat at the picnic tables at the end of the  hike or you may choose to come back to Lincoln.  Work that out with your driver. Trekking poles are always recommended.
