GENERAL LOCATION:
Roseville - off Sierra College near Douglas


DESCRIPTION:
This is a hidden treasure in Roseville. Miner’s ravine is a 6½ mile trail through beautiful riparian landscape right in the heart of Roseville. False Ravine is a branch off this trail. Sights include the babbling water of Miner’s Ravine, spring flowers, and the backyards of estates along the wetlands.

 

This hike start down Miner's Ravine and go partway up False Ravine.

 

The trailhead, off Sierra College Blvd., is near Fin’s restaurant. We plan to end our hike with a fish sandwich lunch. We will try and setup carpooling to accommodate hikers’ interests.


TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE: 12 miles – about 20 minutes. Return after lunch – probably home before 2PM.  This is a $3 ride.

FACILITIES AVAILABLE: None on trail.
PREPARATION FOR HIKE:
The trail is paved – just wear comfortable walking shoes – no boots or hiking poles. Bring money, not lunch.
