BUTTERMILK BEND TRAIL

DIFFICULTY:  Easy

ELEVATION:  1000 ft

HIKE DISTANCE: 3 miles

GENERAL  LOCATION:  Between Marysville and Grass Valley

DESCRIPTON:   This trail is located on the Yuba River at Bridgeport.  There are spectacular views of the river.  The wildflowers  should  be in bloom.  The trailhead  is next to the Bridgeport Covered Bridge and Visitors c enter

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE:  1.5 hours  48 miles   SUGESTED CONTRIBUTION TO THE DRIVER: $9.00

SPECIAL NOTES:  There are Bathrooms at the  beginning of the hike.  Rain or muddy trails will cancel the hike.  Check the Web Site the day before and on the morning of the hike .  There are 40 or so steps on the trail

PREPERATION FOR  HIKE:

1)      If you have any Health issues, please consider your condition before hiking

2)      Bring copy of your ID (drivers license)  Health Card and an emergency  contact name and phone number with you on the hike .

3)      Always bring 1 pair of shoes along with your Hiking Boots , along with a bag to store your dirty hiking boots on the drive home. Pease be considerate of the driver’s car and wear your  clean shoes on the way home.

4)      Bring Lunch, Water and sunscreen.  Trekking poles are always recommended.
