Hwy 49 past the town of Pilot Hill.
DESCRIPTION
:
Winding ranch roads ramble through oak and riparian grasslands to the South Fork
of the American River. We’ll pass by old farm buildings and have lunch/snack
along the river.
TRAVEL
TIME / DISTANCE : 50
minutes, 25 miles. A donation of $4 is suggested for riders. Return time early
afternoon..

PREPARATION
FOR HIKE:

Bring
a copy of your ID (driver’s license), health card, and an emergency contact
phone number with you when you hike.

If
you have any health issues, please consider your condition before
hiking.

Always
bring 2 pairs of shoes, along with a plastic bag to store your muddy/dusty boots
after the hike.

Bring
lunch/snack, water, and hiking boots. Trekking poles are recommended, but not
required.
RISKS:
There
is poison oak, but off of the trails. If there has been recent rain there could
be some mud.
