Paved
for the first part of the way, the trail
makes a steady, gradual climb. The hike goes through a wooded area,
consisting
mainly of oaks. Some areas open up to a long-distance view of the
nearby
foothills. Hopefully, the wildflowers will be blooming when we go.
Lunch:
Midway
through the hike we will have lunch at
the Apple Bistro where they serve burgers, sandwiches, soups, and
salads.
Please RSVP if you will be joining us for lunch there by May 1, as the
restaurant would like an idea of the size of our group. Plan to bring cash to expedite
lunch payment.
