Hiking Distance: 5.2 Miles
Description: The
trail offers some stunning views of the rolling hills & Oak Trees,
some parts can be steep and narrow, with poison oak along the trails.
The trail has some shady areas, but mostly open trail, so bring plenty
of sunscreen and water. We will hike the upper trail, approximately 2.5
miles, to the waterfalls which offer beautiful, stunning views and a
perfect photo opportunity. The area near the waterfall can be steep and
narrow with some rocks, etc. Hiking polls are recommended. After the
photos, we’ll hike another 15 minutes along the trail to another
beautiful gem, a swimming hole and shaded area for lunch and a wade in
the cool water, if desired. After lunch, we’ll navigate the lower
trail, approximately 2.5 miles, back to our cars.
Travel Time and Distance: 1
Hour each way. One way distance is approximately 20 miles, but
approximately 5 miles of the road is rocky and takes longer to
navigate. The suggested driver donation is $6. Driving directions will
be distributed to drivers the morning of the hike.

NO BATHROOM FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE!
Preparation for the Hike: 1. Bring a copy of your Drivers License, Health Card, and emergency contact information. 2. If you have health issues, please consider your condition before hiking. 3. Always bring 2 pairs of shoes, along with a plastic bag for your dirty boost on the drive home. 4. Bring hiking boots, sunscreen, insect repellant, water, hiking pools, lunch.
RISKS: Trail
is gravel, dirt and rock at the Falls can be slippery. Poison Oak is in
the area. Very little shade, bring lots of water and sunscreen.
Weather: First day of summer, come prepared for sunshine – bring sunscreen & water
Meeting Time: 7:30am at Orchard Creek Parking Lot – Leave at 7:45am
Cancellation: Rain smoke or Extreme Heat will cancel hike. Check website evening before hike
