GRIFFITH QUARRY AND MUSEUM HIKE

ELEVATION GAIN:        Minor ups and downs - nothing serious
 
LOCATION:          Taylor and Rock Springs Road, Penryn, Ca.

HIKE DISTANCE:    No more than 3 miles
 
DESCRIPTION:     This hike/stroll combines a little history and nice outing after a docent led museum visit. The museum stands at the entrance of a 23-acre park with trails that meander through native California flora and past two historic granite quarries. You are encouraged to bring a picnic to linger a little longer (if weather permits).  The food can be left in the car right next to the tables. 
 
TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE:    About 15 minutes.  7 miles.  Suggested driver donation $2.

     PREPARATION FOR HIKE:

1) IF YOU HAVE ANY HEALTH ISSUES, PLEASE CONSIDER YOUR CONDITION BEFORE HIKING
2) Bring a copy of your ID (driver's license), Health Card, and an emergency contact name and phone number with you when you hike.
3) Always bring 2 pairs of shoes, along with a plastic bag to store your muddy/dusty hiking boots after the hike.  DO NOT get your driver's car dirty by wearing your dirty boots on the drive home.
