DIFFICULTY:  Moderate

ELEVATION:  a few ups and downs

HIKE DISTANCE: 6 miles

GENERAL  LOCATION:  Between Lincoln and Auburn

DESCRIPTON:   This will be the first of my official hikes into the new section of the Park.  It is beautiful!! We will hike to Hidden Falls and then over a new Bridge into the new section past another waterfall which is set in the most unusual canyon which is entirely different than the setting at Hidden Falls.  Then on to the Creek  Side  trail and back on the Ringtail  trail.  This hike will go the full length of the park,  an opportunity to get a feel for the 30 miles of trails in the park.

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE:  ½  hour, 15 miles  SUGESTED CONTRIBUTION TO THE DRIVER: $3.00

SPECIAL NOTES:  There are porta  potties at  the beginning of the hike.  Rain or muddy trails will cancel the hike.  Check the Web Site the day before and on the morning of the hike .

PREPERATION FOR  HIKE:

1)      If you have any Health issues, please consider your condition before hiking

2)      Bring copy of your ID (drivers license)  Health Card and an emergency  contact name and phone number with you on the hike .

3)      Always bring 1 pair of shoes along with your Hiking Boots , along with a bag to store your dirty hiking boots on the drive home. Pease be considerate of the driver’s car and wear your  clean shoes on the way home.

4)      Bring Lunch, Water and sunscreen.  Trekking poles are always recommended.
