ELEVATION GAIN: about 30 feet

HIKE DISTANCE: 10 miles

GENERAL LOCATION: Sun City Lincoln Hills

DESCRIPTION: Join us for this Valentine’s Day excursion. The hike covers the three major Sun City trails – Seep, Ferrari Pond, and Canyon Oaks (“the Grand Canyon”) – and lots of other trails and streets to connect them. This will not be a stroll – the pace will be brisk, and the distance is long. We will meet at Kilaga Springs lodge, and when we return, some may wish to join us for lunch in the Kilaga Springs Café’.

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE: none

HIKE LEADER/SWEEP: David & Monique Wood. Since no one can get lost, we will not sweep. Hopefully, you will know your way home from where ever we are – but maybe bring your cell phone to call for a loved one to come and rescue you.

SPECIAL NOTES:

FACILITIES AVAILABLE: At Kilaga Springs Lodge, Angler’s Cove, and the the Sports Pavilion.
PREPARATION FOR HIKE: This is a sneaker hike. No boots, no hiking poles.  Wear your most comfortable walking shoes. Bring water and a snack.  We will  have a rest break at the Sports Pavilion.

MEETING TIME: 9:AM at Kilaga Springs Lodge – leave at 9:15.  Meet in the back of the parking lot, opposite the main entrance.
