Stevens Trail Overlook

DIFFICULTY:  Easy.

ELEVATION GAIN: Starting elevation 2,300 feet. Lowest elevation 2,000, and back up.

HIKE DISTANCE: 4 miles total, down and back up, not a loop hike.

DESCRIPTION: An easy hike down the Stevens trail to the American River overlook.

SNACK: Bring water. Bring a snack if desired. Return to Lincoln by noon

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE: 40 minutes one way. 32 miles one way. $6 driver donation.

HIKE LEADER/SWEEP:  Leader Dan Cortinovis. Sweep Wilma Cortinovis

FACILITIES AVAILABLE:  Pit toilet at trailhead.

PREPARATIONS FOR HIKE:           

1. Bring a copy of your ID (driver's license), Health Card, and an emergency contact name and phone number with you when you hike.

2. If you have any health issues, please consider your condition before hiking.

3. Always bring two pairs of shoes, along with a plastic bag to store your muddy/dusty hiking boots after the hike.  Do not get your driver's car dirty by wearing your dirty boots on the drive home.

4. Bring hiking boots, sunscreen, insect repellent, water, snack
