DIFFICULTY: Moderate.
ELEVATION GAIN: Gain 207 feet. Start 200 feet. Highest 407 feet B. T. Collins Park.
HIKE DISTANCE: Hike 8 miles in a loop, mostly paved bike paths, some packed dirt.
HIKE DESCRIPTION:
Suburban loop hike, starting and ending at the free Leidesdorff Street
Parking Garage in Historic Folsom. Walk south one mile on the Oakdale
Street pathway to Glenn Drive to start on the Willow Creek Trail. Walk
three miles northeast on the creek trail to Fido Dog Park, crossing
East Bidwell Street on the snazzy trail bridge. Walk one mile north on
Oak Avenue Parkway to the lunch stop at B. T. Collins Park, with
possible views of Folsom and the foothills. Walk 3 miles west to the
parking garage via the Parkway Power Line Trail, East Natoma, Stafford,
and Leidesdorff Streets
FOOD AND WATER: Bring water and a snack or lunch.
TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE:
About 30 minutes to drive 20 miles one way. Donation of $3 is suggested
for riders. Directions will be handed out to all drivers.

FACILITIES: Rest rooms at Leidesdorff Street Parking Garage and Fido Dog Park.
PREPARATION FOR HIKE: Sturdy boots or walking shoes are recommended.
IF YOU HAVE HEALTH ISSUES, CONSIDER YOUR CONDITION BEFORE HIKING.
BRING
THE FOLLOWING: Bring a copy of your ID (driver's license), health card,
and an emergency contact name and phone number with you on the hike.
ABOUT
YOUR FOOTWEAR: Always bring two pairs of shoes, along with a plastic
bag to store your muddy/dusty hiking boots after the hike. Do not
get your driver's car dirty by wearing your dirty boots on the drive
home.
RISKS: Watch for traffic when crossing roadways.
