Humbug-Willow Trail in Folsom

DIFFICULTY:   Easy

HIKE DISTANCE: 5-6 miles on flat pavement – no elevation gain

GENERAL LOCATION: Folsom

DESCRIPTION:  This is one of the trails maintained by the City of Folsom
       and it follows the Humbug Creek and Willow Creek through
       neigborhoods and past parks and children’s playgrounds.  You can
       google this trail for a fuller description.        

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE:  25 miles 1 way from Lincoln Hills.  Approximately
       40 minutes travel time.  $4.00 donation to drivers is suggested.  
Return time
        will be approximately 2:00 after we eat lunch and drive back to LH.

SPECIAL NOTES:

FACILITIES AVAILABLE: Restrooms are not available at the beginning
      of the trail.  We will stop for a restroom break at a local fast food
      before we start.   Mid-way on the walk we will be passing a Raley’s
      and will stop here for a break.

PREPARATION FOR HIKE
      1) Bring a copy of your ID (driver’s license), health card, and emergency 
contact name and phone number with you on the hike. 
      2)    It is not necessary to wear hiking boots unless you prefer.  The path is paved and so there should not be too much mud.  Bring water and and dress in layered clothing. 
      3)    Bring money for lunch since we will stop after the walk for lunch at a
restaurant in Folsom.
