DIFFICULTY: Easy–

HIKE DISTANCE:
4 miles roundtrip on a slightly up and down trail - no

significant elevation gain

GENERAL LOCATION:
Starting in Lincoln Hills and going across Monte
Azul into Catta Verdera and returning the same way.  Right in our own
backyard!!

DESCRIPTION:
The trail begins at the top of Hidden Hills and crosses
over into Monte Azul and across Twelve Bridge Road and further up
the hill to a reservoir.  Wonderful views of the Sacramento Valley.

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE:    The hike/walk starts at the top of Hidden
Hills and so the start and end is within Lincoln Hills.  No car fees.

HIKE LEADER/SWEEP: Joyce Clark / TBA   Cell phone----- 916-847-3389

SPECIAL NOTES:    Hike will be not be cancelled if there is significant rain since this is on fairly packed earth.  But wear shoes that can take mud!

FACILITIES AVAILABLE: No restrooms are available at the location but we will only be walking for about 2 hours so hopefully this will work for most participants.  No lunch is involved but we will stop at the reservoir
for a snack.

PREPARATION FOR HIKE:

     1) Bring a copy of your ID (driver’s license), health card, and emergency

contact name and phone number with you on the hike.

2)    It is not necessary to wear hiking boots unless you prefer.  But there will be mud and make certain your shoes can handle mud.  You may want your trekking poles but they are not necessary.

3)    Bring 2 pairs of shoes, along with a plastic bag to store your muddy/dusty hiking boots after the hike.  DO NOT get your driver's car dirty by wearing your muddy boots on the drive home.

      4)  Bring water and warm and layered clothing.
