ELEVATION GAIN: Minimal

 

HIKE DISTANCE: 3 to 5 Miles

 

GENERAL LOCATION: Sonoma, CA

 

DESCRIPTION: We will stop in the downtown square of Sonoma for a rest break (after about 100 Mi.) before driving north to Jack London State Park in Glen Ellen. After visiting the museum we will hike around the grounds. The trail is mostly dirt. We will then drive back into Sonoma for lunch at the deli on the town square. After lunch we will tour the San Francisco Solano Mission and the General Vallejo homestead. Depending on the time we leave Sonoma, We can decide on driving straight home or having dinner on the way.

 

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE: 110 Mi. - 2 Hrs each way ($15 driver donation). Return to Lincoln between 5 & 7 PM.

FACILITIES AVAILABLE: In Sonoma - None on trail
PREPARATION FOR HIKE:
Refer to #8 and #9 in the ‘Hike Information and Guidelines’ available on the website. Wear hiking shoes and layered clothing. Bring water and snacks, and money for lunch and tours.

RISKS: Slight possibility of poison ivy along trail
